Suzi, excellent blog! I think you have nailed many of the points that make a strong leader in today's marketplace. I think the courage to admit your weakness also points to another characteristic that also dovetails with empathy: vulnerability. The courage to admit mistakes allows your constituents to see the human side in you, which will garner more trust. Trust is the ultimate tool in creating capital with employees, as you point out. I also like that you pointed out that we need to think differently. When we think differently and challenge our team members to think differently, we can also allow them to thrive and show that we respect their perspectives. Thinking differently also can provide energy in a stagnant work environment.
